Penwork's brush suggestions

I guess my question would be. For ~12$ more you can get yourself a size 1 Rooney super silvertip.

Why would you chose to go for the Penworks?

For me, a silvertip grade has to be in the lower 30$ range to make it appealing as a purchase. For 60$, I would rather pay 12$ more and get something more reputable and that will hold a better resale value.

Penworks make a good brush for the money. I have a 22mm finest. It works well with soaps and creams. If you are not going to sell it, then resale value is nothing to worry about. You can spend $$ on a brush and still get a dud.

I like the Penworks one because of its unique handle, it looks nice, in my opinion the Rooney looks too plain, brand is not that important to me, as I already have a Simpsons Beaufort.

I have a couple of the finest knots in my Ever-Ready restored brushes. I could not be happier with the way they perform. It is a pleasure dealing with Tony over at the Golden Nib/Pen-works.:thumbup1:
