A small round flat magnet epoxied to the end of the handle and a piece or metal on the bottom of a shelf. The magnets can be found in about any hardware store. But that's just my thought. I used a fornster bit in a drill press and sunk mine into the handle.

The easiest thing would be to drill a hole at the bottom, tie a rubber rope or chain and hang it on a hanger.

THAT is clever!

Excellent idea!

hand towel hook over sink that is two individual wire hooks spaced such that they would hold the brush between them. Don't have it, want it.

You can always go the Flintstones route. Have an elephant stand outside with his trunk coming through the bathroom window. When you're done shaving, simply let him hold the brush in the desired position with his trunk. Your brush dries out, he makes a living, and everyone is happy.

I believe it was thirdeye that did a dry time test and found that your brush will actually dry faster with the bristles up rather than hanging bristles down. I tried it and sure enough... now my brush stand is simply there to hold the pretty brush I never use, my daily brush stands on the sink.

Well, there is always the Anti Gravity Machine:

I think it works by magnet, so I guess if you find the right metal for the handle, it could work.

You could screw a little eye hook in the bottom of the brush, then use a cup or any hook screwed in somewhere in your bath room and hang it up.
I have made a brush which had a rare earth magnet inserted in the lower part of the handle, so it would hang upside down from a metal part of the bathroom cabinet. Some guys made a sling loop from string and hang the brush like one would hang from the gallows needs a hook or a cabinet door handle to hang it from. Many possibilities here, just what fits you the best.
Or just buy a cheap brush stand for some $5, I found this to be the best solution and also looks the best.
