Never again will I buy a Parker. Same issue sounds like Sledgehammer had over in another thread. I'm going to call Parker next week about my TTO 82R, which has an issue with one of the doors. It won't close all of the time properly, getting jammed on one side, one of three things happens-
1. sometimes it works
2. option two is where I hear a small "click" when I twist it down and that means it DID work but got a little stuck (it gives, finally)
3. finally, sometimes the door won't close correctly and the mechanism simply bends up into the safety bar
--In the event of 3. I must unscrew and try again, where I again get one of the above three results (roughly even, about 1 out 3 times I will get #3).
I'm a little p-oed, to say the least, and plan on telling Parker how I feel. Other than this faulty tto mechanism, the razor looks brand new. I haven't tried it yet, though, as I would prefer this taken care of.
Fair warning to everyone here about Parker razors, whether they claim it's new and improved or not. I will never buy another Parker and am not sure I even want a replacement at this point, but it is the principle of the thing now. Is it too much to expect that when I pay for something new it will work like a new product? Not happy my friends, not happy at all.
