PannaCrema first use

Tried PannaCremma Casablanca last night for the first time. Initial thoughts are that the scent is great, it lathered very easily with a Semogue 620 using Marco's method, and provided a nice protective lather. Enough lather for 3 passes, though I only did 2. I think the performance may fall short of Cella and Vitos Red, but it seems to be a really great performer and may be a good option for people who like the performance of Italian soaps but are not fans of the almond scent. I also received the Oro, Incenso e Mirra scent. It has a much heavier scent...lots of incense (but not so much that you would run the chance of being mistaken for a hippy).

I received my shipment containing "San Francesco", "Incenso, oro e mirra", "Casablanca" and "Romeo e Giulietta" today. After having sniffed them all I decided that i liked San Francesco the best and shaved with it. To give my face an extra challenge I used a Super-Max Platinum blade that is one of the worst ones for my face.
The best thing about the soap is the sandal wood scent, that is pleasant and very subtle. It lathers well, but I think I used a little too much water and could have gotten an even firmer lather if I wanted to. I cut of about a gram of soap and lathered it with the water held by my brush. I could probably have done 10 passes with the lather I got, but I only did four. The performance was as good as the canned foam I used as a point of reference, but the scent more pleasant and easier on the skin. My only complaint is that it could have been a bit slicker.

The soap weighed 82 grams when I received it. I would need about a gram per shave. That means each soap is good for almost 100 four pass shaves.

i have tried last night,Romeo e Giulietta.
if you use soap in F.L. it work very very very well.....i have difficult to lather in bowl(is my problem....beacuse i prefer F.L.) but in F.L. is a very surprise.
The lather is very compact and protective....and not dry so easy.
Difference with Cella is that Pannacrema is not sticky.
The scent is good....not invasive...as the cost:biggrin1:
that's great!!!
grande vulcanino!!!
