Palmolive shave stick same as Speick?

Hi all. I just picked up a Palmolive shave stick here in Norway and noticed it was the exact same size, shape and packaging as the stick of Speick I had acquired. The smell is "almost" the same being somewhat different if that explains anything..haha.
I don't remember the Palmolive offered in the states, and I was going to go pick up another 2 or 3 since they are somewhat inexpensive.
Anyone have any history on these?

I think the Palmolive shave stick is Europe-only. I would be surprised if the formulation is the same as Speick, but certainly the packaging could be very similar.

I recently traded for one stick and it's fantastic! I too understand it's Europe only. I would say it beats many much more expensive soaps for performance so value is extremely high considering its price. Go for it!

Ingredients of Palmolive Stick

Potassium Hydrogenated Tallowate, Sodium Tallowate, Sodium Cocoate, Aqua, Glycerin, Parfum, Olea Europaea, Elaeis Guineensis, Tetrasodium EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, BHT, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Citronellol, Coumarin, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Limonene, Linalool, CI 11680, CI 12490, CI 74260, CI 77891

and of Speick:

Potassium Stearate, Sodium Stearate, Potassium Tallowate, Aqua, Potassium Cocoate, Sodium Tallowate, Sodium Cocoate, Parfum, Glycerin, Valeriana Celtica (Speick) Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Oil), Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, CI 12085, CI 75120, Benzyl Salicylate, Coumarin, Limonene, Linalool

Whilst I can't make head or tails of most of it, they do seem to differ quite a bit.

I have both and they are completely different. They both give excellent shaves (vive la tallow), but the Speick has a better scent to my nose. Palmolive is much more soapy. You can't pick them up in the average drug store here, so you might as well load up while you can.

I can't seem to smell any fragrance with my Speick stick. It turns out that I prefer Palmolive stick over the Speick.

Frankly, the Wilkinson stick is better than either IMO. YMMV.

Just wanted to check my soaps for it so thank you doing it for me.

The size and packaging of both soaps made me wonder too so I wouldn't be surprised if they both came from the same factory at all, making Palmolive as the Speick-for-the-masses.
