Pal Razor?

Here is one. There is also one called pal injectomatic but I couldn't get the picture to load.

As far as I know it doesn't have one. It's an adjustable injector. It's stainless steel. The inside of the handle is some kind of hard plastic connected somehow. Here is a picture under the head and how the bottom of the handle looks.

The reason I ask, I saw a razor, a TTO, in an antique shop last week that I didn't recognize. Without my readers on, it looked like it said Pal under the head. The razor was really light, and it felt more like aluminum than chrome. The handle was kind of shiny. It could have said Pat, but if I remember correctly it was in the upper right hand corner looking under the head.

It's possible. Maybe some one with more knowledge will weigh in.

I have one of the adjustable injectors as pictured above. It is in it's original case and the case simply calls it "Pal Adjustable". There was also a non-adjustable injector that looked just like it except, of course, without the adjusting knob.

The DE razor shown is exactly like the double edge Star Model 100 which was made by ASR. ASR usually stayed with SE's but, obviously, they weren't above playing around and testing the market with both injectors and DE's.

Since "Pal", like "Star", "Gem", "Ever-Ready", Personna and "Treet" was an ASR tradename, I suspect they may have made other razors under the Pal name too, but it doesn't appear to be their first choice in names for use on razors. The Pal name seems to have been more commonly used for blades.

Prior to being purchased by ASR, the Pal Cutlery company did produce DE razors which were very similar to some Gillette models

Tom
