I got this razor off ebay, when it came I was amazed to find that it had a near perfect edge and shaved. After a little touch up this is now my best shaving razor. I cant find any info on this maker, anyone else have one?

Just a guess, but I did a search on Rousselaere and it appears to be in Belgium not far from France. I would venture to guess that one of the French razor manufacturers produced it and labeled it for sale at a merchant under their private label which in your case is P. Joye. Are there any stampings or markings on the other side?

Thanks for the info, the only markings are the ones pictured on the tang
Doesn't happen often, getting a razor from EBay with a shave ready edge. Pretty damn cool when it does happen.

It appears to be indeed from Rousselaere in Belgium, I live in that town, it's name changed to Roeselare by the end of the 1800's. So it's a old one. But I don't know if it was made there, it seems to come from France like Noswad wrote. Enjoy it!
