New straight shaver; decent shave

63 year old gun/knife/archery/martial arts guy. Remember my dad, grandfathers shaving with old school razors. Edges on both sides, would open to replace thin double-sided blades.
Actually used them when starting to shave, lol.
I like anything edged and enjoy sharpening/honing.
Got it into my head to shave with a straight. Started with Iwasaki Kamisori and then purchased "KikuoKan" straight.
Maybe 10 shaves in, got my first decent shave and without cuts/nicks, lol.
Enjoying this. It is definitely a skill (shaving and honing). I encourage others to try.
