Osage Rub deal

I don't know how long it's going to last but as of this posting, there's a marketplace seller on Amazon (no connection) who's offering 14 oz. bottles of Osage for $8.44 delivered. ($4.09 + $4.35 shipping) I seem to have been reading a fair amount about Osage lately and at this price, I'm willing to have a go at it. It's the best total price I've been able to find.

I love the menthol cool burn so I hope this stuff is what people make it out to be. I'd like something stronger than my Aqua Velva blue and my Barbasol Pacific Rush.

I still need to try this stuff. I'm currently using AV Ice Blue as well and can't even tell menthol is an ingredient. My first bottle of Proraso Green splash should get delivered today. I am hoping for improved results from it.

I found Proraso and AV the same chill factor out of the bottle, but YMMV on that.

Scent is very fleeting. It dwindles down to a very light talc scent very quickly.

It's pretty much a one-trick pony to me: a short, over-the-top menthol blast that makes your eyes water. It's sort of a novelty in that sense. But that's reason enough to have it around, and it's cheap to boot.

So it goes from Vick's Vaporub to a light talc scent? How does that work? Now I'm concerned I'll like the sensation but maybe not the scent. I don't want to go around smelling like I'm treating myself for a head cold.

I got the Osage Rub in the mail yesterday and gave it a go this morning. I gotta say that I love the freezing burn! It definitely has a more freezing/burning sensation than either AV Blue or Barbasol Pacific Rush. On the down side, it does have a Vicks medicinal scent at first but as was mentioned in an earlier post, it does settle down fairly quickly into a talc-like scent. I'm giving it a thumbs up. I may just go and reapply some right now! It's definitely worth the $8.44 and at 14 ounces, it's going to last quite a while.

The scent disappears completely in just a few minutes. No one will know you applied anything. Feel free to use your cologne of choice.

Before buying it would be worth checking your local barbershop. You can usually find these for sale for under $5.
