Ormonde Man

I love this scent and four (4) ladies in my office have already told me how much they like the way it smells. :001_rolle

Ormonde Man, a most sophisticated fragrance, despite its unconventional ingredients. Complex and full of character, sultry and mystical, the fragrance exudes soft woody notes, but it is the infusion of Oudh oil, the world’s most prized essence since time immemorial, that sets it apart, elevating the scent to one of true distinction.

Top:Juniper berry, bergamot, pink pepper, cardamom and coriander seeds

Heart:Oudh and black hemlock

Base:Vetiver, cedar, sandalwood and musk

Very nice description. I've only had a sample of this (thanks again, Henry) and really like it. It's definitely on my wish list. :thumbup1:

This one is almost too good. What sets it apart for me is the Black Hemlock. An unusual, appealing green note.

Ta'if is worth a sniff too.

You are welcome!

I agree--brilliant fragrance. If you like peppery scents give the Isfarkand a try. I surprisingly liked it more than Zizan and vetiver is one of my favorite notes. I found Zizan fell a little flat for me :(

I burned through my sample of this much faster than i would have liked!

It's only (potenial) problem for me is that it's doesn't project quite enough. it seems like it may be a tad too soft.

Wow thanks for mentioning this one. I had never heard of it and it sounds right up my alley. The Basenoters say some pretty great things about it and it has OUD!

Isfarkand is the one I wanted to try the most, but they only sent me samples of Man and Zizan, but I was happy they sent me anything.

Doesn't project well for me either, might be due to the minimal application of the sample I have.

I don't have too much experience with this, but I have smelled it (a friend of mine has a bottle), and I also found that it sits way too close to the skin for my liking - beautiful fragrance, though.

I'm curious where those of you in the U.S. have purchased Ormande Man? Is buying direct through their website the best option?

Like many other British frags, it does not project much. What it lacks in projection, it makes up for in longevity.

Yes, I've bought direct from them. Even their packaging is impressive.
