Organic Shaving Creams?

Have been using Proraso which performed well, but is loaded with parabens and the like. Looking for a purely organic natural substitute. Preferably a cream and something simple enough I could make myself. Any suggestions/recipes?

Some of the more natural/organic options out there:
Biotique Bio Palmyra Shaving Cream
Weleda Shaving Cream
Kiss My Face Moisture Shave
Speick Shaving Cream
There aro also a lot of brushless options but I don't like those...

Are you looking for certified organic shaving creams? I saw some stuff in Whole Foods that said it was certified organic but I cannot remember what it was. They seemed to have a lot of natural and organic shaving stuff.

Well... sourcing organic beef tallow for cooking purposes is tough enough. Trying to find it in shaving soap form is proving to be even more difficult. I'm leaning towards Mike's currently. I think I'll start with a sampler pack. Thanks guys!

If you like Proraso have you checked out the new version that's paraben free?

yes, it still has many synthetics

I'm not interested in companies that modify a formula just enough to market to more health conscious buyers. I'd rather support the ones that honestly try to make the best product.

without a doubt biotique palmyra, gentlemens reginery and edwin jagger creams..

those are the top 3 for me .. very natural very effective creams...

Health conscious? There's absolutely no evidence to support this new kick against parabens that people suddenly developed. It's not really "health conscious" to look for shave supplies without them when there are no health benefits in the first place.
Synthetic isn't a synonym for bad; neither is natural a synonym for good.

parabens are but a sliver of ingrediants that should be avoided IMO

What are some of the others and what is your basis for saying they should be avoided, if you don't mind my asking? If there's evidence of ingredients in cosmetics that we should avoid I'm all for hearing about it.
