Just ordered my first silvertip from WhippedDog.com this morning. 24mm in a resin handle. Have an HIS synthetic, and a men-ü boar. Can't wait to enter the world of silvertip luxury!

Congrats on the buy! I have a WD silvertip 24 and 30 myself and they are fantastic brushes. Uses the packet included to clean the brush and give it a few lathers to break it in and you will be on your way to many good shaves!

Depends on a lot of things. What would you be using it for, face or bowl lathering? Do you prefer firmer scrubbier brushes? Do you prefer to use soaps or creams?

As far as how long they would last, no reason why they wouldn't last for years if not decades if you take care of them (clean them thoroughly every once in a while and don't mash them down on your face or in a bowl or in a sink...you get the idea). At the price you get them at, they are an absolute steal. Love mine.
