What's new

Ordered a PenWorks brush today!

I have been reading the very favorable comments from members who use PenWorks' brushes, so I began communicating with Tony about a brush. I worked with him to get a brush that hopefully is perfectly suited to my preferences and method of making lather, which is to create lather from cream in a bowl. I wanted a brush with a larger handle, a larger knot in width and height and higher quality hair than the small E&J Best Badger brush which has served my well since I started wet shaving with DE and Injector razors.

The brush Tony came up with is blue/gold resin handle with a 22mm silvertip Grade A knot. The knot's loft is 50mm and the handle is 62mm high and 35mm wide at its base.

Nice looking brush that will preform even better. I ordered a Penworks for My Dad for Christmas. I will be curious to see what You think. Two Penworks headed to Mckinney.

I had not seen another member from McKinney until you alerted me to your location. I hope your Dad likes his brush and I will post my comments here after using it.

The knot - I can imagine - is absolutely great!
Just ordered two silver tips for some of the Works of Aart brushes myself.

Let us know how they perform!

What's the penworks address to check out their goods?

I've tried www.penworks.us however keep getting an error message?

Is it penworksplus.com??

The web address in your post is the one I have been using and it works for me every time. I am not skilled enough to explain why you are having difficulty using it.

I have been exchanging emails with Tony, the owner, at [email protected]. He is diligent in responding to emails.

I wish I could be giving you guys my critique of the brush, but it has not yet arrived in the post. The Postal Service is normally much faster than this. I am now concerned.

The wait is becoming a problem for me as I am very stoked about lathering with my first full size brush. The E&J Best Badger has been a good brush and got me into wet shaving and I will probably keep it as a travel brush. But I am ready to give this new one a go.
