Order came in

My order from shavenation.com just came in this afternoon. Unfortunately I wasnt able to use the items today because I had already shaved and headed to work before the package came in. I ordered some Proraso shave soap(white tub) some Astra blades and Gillette 7 oclock blades(blue package). I know I could search and find the reviews on each of these items but thought I would just ask here on the forum. Anybody shave with these items? If so, how were they? Thanks guys!

I use the Proraso in the white tub and it works great. I use a Tweezerman brush with it. I actually have a pure badger from AOS but haven't mastered it yet. I'm still new and taking the advice of not swapping variables too much but I can get an awsome dependable lather most every time with that Proraso and my Tweezerman!! Those are my "controls" along with my Merkur HD razor and pre shave prep which is a shower and soaking my brush in the hot water sink. I also sprinkle a few drops of water on the soap before getting in the shower. I then swirl the wet Tweezerman on the soap for about 30 seconds and then face lather. I get enough lather to do 5 passes if I wanted to but usualy do 2 or 3. Like I said the white tub is one of my controls!

Proraso is great. Astra is my gold standard blade (better than an Astra, not as good as an Astra) The Gillette Russian blue blades are nice ones also

i tried the 7 oclock yellows and hated them. And someone else praises them. I love arko, some hate it. ymmv
I have yet to try an astra blade. I have crystas and tried the derbys my brother gave me. I like the derbys but still prefer crystals. I sampled about 8 blades before choosing crystal (price & performance).
personnas are supposed to be nice as well. or so I have read
