Opinions on J&M gray badger vs Vie-Long black badger

I think I want to try a Spanish badger, but I'm not interested in dropping over $75 shipping included.

The Vie-Long offerings look nice, but the lower end stuff hasn't been reviewed here, so I'm looking for some of you who own one to enlighten me.

Hmm, I was under the impression that the J&M product was just Vie-Long's second line for badger brushes..... they sure seem to imply that on the web site and the handles are identical to the basic Vie-Long product.

At any rate I ordered a Vie-Long in black badger (and a horse that I can't find from a US vendor) to check out, I'll report back once I have had a chance to use it!
