Open Comb TTO?

Other than the collector-priced (over, sometimes way over, $100) Sheratons from the '30s, do open-comb TTO's exist? Can any be found in the $15 to $30 range (user grade)?

Nope... But I did find a Sheraton and senator for under 30 on eBay... They were rough, but polished up to almost brand new... Speaking of new, I don't see anything that the gillette new offers that tto does except for safety

As was already said, I don't know of any that sell in the $30 range, unless it's something in really rough condition that you are willing to take a chance on. I hadn't seen the OC TTO at Shave A Buck, but if it's a Cadet, the quality is surprisingly good given the price point. I'd be willing to take a flyer on a Cadet TTO OC for $20.

Is there a special reason why you want a TTO OC in this price range? There are plenty of open comb razors you can get in your price range, both vintage and modern, that are wonderful shavers. The Gillette NEW specifically is one of the best shaving Gillette OC's ever produced.

Edit:

Here's the link to the razor at Shave A Buck, and it is a Cadet. I would give it a whirl for $25 if I wanted an open comb TTO. I was impressed with the quality of my Cadet razor for the price they charge. It's really your only option that I am aware of.

There are deals out there if you watch closely. I just picked up this Sheraton on eBay last week for under $70. It was not that clean when I got it but it cleaned up really well.

The Sheraton is a great shaving razor. I bought this one for a backup of the one in my top rotation.

Just watch ebay, but search items like "beard comb" you'd be surprised. I picked up this guy for a $5.00 BIN about 3 months ago so just be patient and have those eyes peeled.

Gillette made the Aristocrat, Sheraton & Senator. I have all three. I got the Senator for less than $30. It needs a replate, but shaves great without it. I will replate it at some point, but I pick when to spend that money. The Sheraton I got for $42 and the Aristocrat for $52.

The Aristocrat has been known to go for less than $30, but those auctions don't last long. For my $52, I got a great shaver that does not need a replate. The Aristocrat takes close & comfortable to a whole new level. If you are patient and persistent, you can find a deal in your price range.

I took a chance and ordered the Cadet model 12 last week, it should arrive soon. For $30 shipped its worth a try. I have heard good things about Cadets quality, although I am a Gillette fan, I'll try one. I'll post a review when I can.

I don't know if forum rules allow this but eBay item number 131017167871 is a Sheraton with no bent or missing teeth in need of cleaning... It's 70 dollars... It's a decent price... I'd buy it if I didn't already own 2

You can post it as long as its a "Buy it Now" item. It's just live auctions that we're not allowed to post a link to.

Not a bad set, actually. The Old Type has the typical crack in the handle, but it's not near as bad as most you see. I'd grab these myself, but I think I'll pass and pick up one of those Cadet TTO OC's (plus some other stuff, of course!).
