Open Comb TTO Question

How do they compare to a New or an Old? Is aggressiveness similar? I've tried a number of DE razors and so far the New is my favorite with the Old being a close second. For the actual shaving. Aesthetically I tend to prefer TTO razors. Plus the mechanism is just neat.

So should I make the effort to try and get say a Sheraton? With the looking I've done, they seem to be the best priced. Thanks in advance.

I think the Sheraton, Senator, '38 Aristocrat give a similar shave to a New. In other words, a pretty good shave. The Old Type is more aggressive.

I just had my shave with a #15 that I picked up on the BST....The shave was out of this world! It is the first open comb TTO I have used. If there is such a term as "Ultra BBS"...that is how it performed!!

I have the Old Type, the long and short tooth NEW, and the 30's style TTO open comb with the barber pole handle. I shave with all of them here and there, the old type not so much anymore. My opinion is that the TTO open comb is similar to the long tooth NEW or maybe a little bit between the NEW and the old type. They give a good shave no doubt and I enjoy mine very much. I have two and one of them I had replated this year which turned out fine, it came out really bright. good luck, bc

The Senator for me was a pleasently mild shave. By appeareance only I thought it would be much more aggressive. YMMV!
