OneBlade HiCarbon SE Safety Razor Blades

100 blades for 35.97 sounds like a good deal. I read all the info regarding this blade from their website. I am positive they are specially made by Gem because they use PTFE coating and nobody else uses that terminology except Gem. So we know you can get at least 10 decent shaves out of a Gem.

I’ve been waiting for this development. Too many complaints about the old blades. I’m interested to give them a go. But might wait until Australian suppliers get them in.

On another note, I wonder whether the new blades fit the old Valet razors?

Since the OneBlades were designed around the Valet blades, I'd be astonished if they didn't. Since I already have 100+ FHS-10 blades, I'm unlikely to rush out to buy the new blades, but when I do, I'll report back, since I do have an old Valet in the archives.

Now that would be good! Accuforge (gem) blades suit my skin well.

That was my thought. I have a few Valets. I’ll give them a go.

What's the best place to get the 100 from... will be great to get choices for blade as that razor is cool.

On second thought, I don’t think the new blades will fit a valet razor. The blade sits on the razor’s small posts about halfway down the blade. The new HiCarbon blades have a hole which appears too large and high to help secure the blade Over the valet posts.

Having said that, within a few weeks, I will be able to see for myself!

I'm curious too. I also have some Kai's that fit the oneblade. They don't shave as well as the FIRST shave on the feather, but they do better on #2-whenever.

What I can't figure is whether or not these new blades need to be wiped to avoid rust or not. They don't say stainless, so not sure. But the Kai's definitely do.

Are you saying Kai DE blades fit into the oneblade heads of thier razors?? I never knew this! I'll have to try this at some point!

And will they fit the oneblade razors? And how long do they last?

I get about 4-7 out of the 25 thickness, and 2-4 out of the 15. Note that I get 2-5 out of the regular feathers. I know a lot of people say they can only get one, but I just don't have that aggressive a beard that my blades are done after one shave. I also tend to get at least a week, maybe more out of a typical DE blade.
