Here is a review of the modern Sheaffer Skrip blue-black, which is a dye based ink (non ferro gallic):
Edit: it turns out that I have tested the old Skrip blue/black as well, in 2002. Unfortunately on another forum, so I cannot link. But Skrip blue/black performed very well in terms of water resistance, just like MB blue/black. What surprises me is how badly Lamy blue/black performed; at least the bottle I had back then.
