On the Road Again

I wonder if we ought to have a travel thread. Or do we, and have I overlooked it? I travel a lot and find my shaving needs affecting my travel, often. This trip I brought sample size Mike's Barbershop bath soap and his shampoo bar. These are great pick-me-ups on my trip.
In the future I will buy full size bars and cut them into quarters or thirds. I store them in a screw-top aluminum tin I bought at WCS.

Another thought, I always check my bag. But for folks with carry-ons, Mike's shampoo soap bar seems a decent solution to carrying liquid shampoo. I was just using the shampoo that is available in the hotel rooms, but I really like having Mike's with me.

Like you, I find a soap bar travels in the Dopp Kit far better than liquid soap. So I like to use soap brands that are marketed and work fo use on body and hair. When traveling in Spring/Summer I like to use Woody's Moisturizing bar. In Fall/Winter when skin tends to be dryer for lack of humidity, I'll throw a bar of Grandpa's Pine Tar 'Wonder' bar in the kit. It's great for the body and dry scalp. Both brands market that you can shave with their soaps. I tried it and it can be done but the quality of lather and efficacy just wasn't there.
