Hello everyone. A while back, I purchased an Omega stripey model 63171 pure badger brush through Amazon. At the time, I was not aware of many of the shaving forums. I can buying through Amazon was a big mistake. About two months ago, the knot came apart from the handle. In my opionion, that is poor quality. I tried contacting Amazon but there were completely useless. They said too much has gone by. The individual I spoke with gave me an incorrect number for Omega. I tried contacting the seller, but I have not received a reply. My advice would be to stay away from Omega and Amazon. I learned an important lesson. I have temporarily affixed the knot with superglue. I was not sure what else to do.

Sorry to hear about the bad experience. I don't care for pure badger myself but I have a boar brush from Omega that is outstanding. Omega does have a website and there is a "contact us" section on it. http://www.omegabrush.com/english/dabarba/index.php
That Omega was my first brush, also from Amazon. I hated it. The knot stayed in but the brush was way too floppy. I wish I had known at the time that for less than $10 more, I could have gotten a Simpson Special. Anyway, after six weeks of fighting with the Omega, I bought a Rooney 3/1 Super and gave the Omega away.
Next time the knot falls out, use epoxy. Check the restoration forum for recommendations.

Thank you for the tip. I apologize for the typos...typing way too fast. It does not seem like Omega stands behind their products. I may end up giving mine away as well. It seems like very poor quality badger.
I don't see how a bad experience with a brush is any reason to stay away from Amazon. How long did you have the brush before you contacted them about returning it? I've spent A LOT of money at Amazon and even returned a few items and have never had any issues.
I have however shared your quality issue with an Omega boar. I love how the brush works and feels, but within 6 months of purchasing it the bottom end cap came off. I super glued it back on. It has since began to develop longitudinal cracks in the handle, one very large, and has been shedding at an alarming rate. It will need to be replaced in the near future but I doubt I will go with another Omega.
