Omega Brush Problem

I've had this Omega 20107 for about a year and a half, and use it every day. The collar around the knot is split and pushing up out of the handle. Am I about to lose my knot, or is this as bad as it'll get? Has this happened anyone else?

It's been like this for about a month.

When I clean the brush every morning, I rinse out the lather, shake out the excess water, and leave it in the medicine cabinet (bristles up) to dry.

I love this brush, but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem before I buy another one.

I'd try a little epoxy or Crazy Glue under the lip of the collar & re-seat the knot into the handle, if it doesn't hold get another inexpensive Omega, or the $20 Omega B&B Edition from West Coast Shaving.

I believe the collars all have a split, but the way it's coming out is clearly a problem. I'm guessing it won't cause the knot to fall out.

This probably has nothing to do with your present concern, but you may wish to store your wet brush on the counter where air can circulate around it, instead of inside a closed medicine cabinet.

Your knot is coming out. The hair wont come out of the plastic sleeve it's glued into but the sleeve is coming out. I had an EJ that done that and I used super glue 2 years ago and it hasn't came out yet.

Thanks all, for your insight.
Any idea what might be causing this? I have pretty strong hands, and I can't push it back down into the handle. The knot also seems to be solid (for now, anyway), and doesn't move.
It's a cheap brush, so this is more of curiosity for me. At any rate, I decided to try something a little different and ordered a Semogue 610.

I figured mine came out from shaking it to hard. I started towel drying my brush. A little squeeze then towel dry a little. Maybe I'm wrong about the knot coming out on your brush but I'm sure that piece looks like it's coming out. You'll like that boar I use one daily now.

Looks like mine. I'll have to keep an eye on it. Haven't noticed any change in its performance. Bristles feel the same.
