Old vs New Astra SP Blades

I have been comparing Old (printed) to New (laser etched) Astra SP Blades. I buy Astra SP blades by the 100 pack and my last purchase was the old printed on both sides type, with numbers on corners. With the last two tucks out of the 100 I am averaging 7 consistent shaves (mostly BBS) out of a blade, compared to an inconsistent 2 to 5 shaves from the new laser etched on one side blade.
Has Astra gone back to making the old printed blade or did I get old stock? I did like the Astra blades but the last 100 pack of the Laser printed blades that I bought were inconsistent in keeping its edge. The printed blades stayed sharp and comfy, I tossed them after 7 shaves but I think I could get more.

I just bought a carton of 100. They are printed on both sides, with numbers and are in a new wrapper. Are these real? Side tuck says December 2019.

Why do Astra keep changing there blade printing and wrappers?

I though the blades were laser etched and no longer printed? And when did they start wrapping the blades in a branded wrapper?

Would you consider posting where you bought them? I dislike the super cheap Astra SP packs I've bought lately--plain wax paper wrappers with super faint lettering.

Bought a box on amazon recently and they are as op posted. Just now opened the box after seeing this post. Btw. the price keeps going up. $6.69 when I bought them.

Nope - got a 100 box from Amazon about three - four weeks ago and so far they are lazar etched on one side only. Still for me give a good shave and paid slightly less than $7.00 for the box.

Can you confirm the date stamp on the side of the tuck?

Afternoon gents! I am still on my "perfect" blade search after a few years of DE shaving, somehow. I found that between Feather, Wilkinson, Merkur, and Astra SP, so far my favorites have been the Astra. I went to order some online from amazon as normal, and noted in the reviews that either...
