I just acquired an old type and the combs are clearly different on either side. One side is long and the other is short. Is this some type of factory "mistake" or made purposely?

My old type is even on both sides so I'm not sure, have never hear of a lop sided one
Weird, let us see some pictures of this strange razor, is it a Gillette?

OK, here's the pic..hopefully it sheds some light...clearly one side is short comb an the other is long comb ; )
looks like someone belt sanded one side down
