What's new

Oh happy day! My Wolf Whiskers has arrived!

Peter did a fantastic job for me. I basically asked him to mimic another copper/silver "Bob" style brush he made for a different member set a bit more for face lathering. Dealing with Peter was a complete pleasure as well. But, this thread is worthless without pics so....

I have the knot soaking in hot water for the next couple of hours, will lather it and leave it overnight and shave with it in the morning. I can't wait.

The brush has weight, it is solid and the silvertip is soft with a slightly perfect amount of scritch when run against my palm fresh out of the box. I think I definitely have a face lathering machine. FYI, the knot is 24mm F2 Silvertip set for a 47mm loft.

Wasn't sure how happy Peter would be with displaying what I believe to be his home address/phone and his .mil e-mail address so they were blurred out.

Congratulations! That's an awesome looking brush all around. Great looking knot to go with that spectacular handle. He's very talented.

I don't think I'll wait until morning to shave, I'll definitely be posting a photo of the bloom. It lathered John's LA Shaving Soap like it was on autopilot and is a super dense sponge for water and lather.

It's blooming already!

Also, don't listen to me when I said it had a slight amount of scritch. The brush to my cheek is velvety smooth without any hint of scritch. The knot has great backbone to it and isn't floppy in the slightest. I also mentioned earlier that it's a dense, water & soap hungry son of a gun too, but man what a difference it makes!

Not wanting to create another thread, I'm just going to jump on here for a moment. Mine came in yesterday. This thing is a lather machine. It is the tuxedo style with a 2 band 24mm knot and engraved on the bottom. I love it. I also can't say enough good things about Pete. Top notch interaction. Sorry the picture loaded sideways. I'm doing this from my phone.

Unacceptably Lasering Chicken Giblets?
Beautiful Brush and craftsmanship.
You both did well.
Enjoy many years of service.

I have yet to receive mine. But let me say that Pete has been a pleasure to deal with. Very prompt in responses, very accurate in his orders, and makes some really nice brushes. Mine is either on the way or will go out early next week. I'll show a pic. Obviously it's a Steelers brush. Really a fabulous job by Pete. I haven't yet decided if I'll use it or just display and look at it on Gameday. Anything to help at this point. Steelers need all the help they can get.

The other brushes in the thread are gorgeous. Seems that Pete has got himself a nice little side business going on.

Congrats to Stiglitz, RondeB, and Dantheman! These brushes are all out of this world. It really brings joy to see the someone continuing on the tradition of the beautiful, detailed handles of the bygone age...thinking of AS3, BB3, M7....I'm holding out hope for a future Simpsons "Heritage" line. Pete's skill could no doubt make my wildest dreams come true now!

Those all look like wonderful brushes. I love it when hobbyist members really get going and make such nice products. When I am ready for a custom brush this is likely the direction I will go. Great stuff.
