So i got a puck of Ogallala bay rum and a puck of bay rum sandalwood. No matter what brush i use i cant get that shine in the lather. Dont get me wrong lathers like a champ, slick as can be and post shave is just as good as any other soap i use. Just wont get that shiny look. Anyone else have same "problem". Not really a priblem though lol

That's not a problem at all. Lather doesn't need to shine, it needs to work, be slick and give a good shave. What you are describing seems to me to be perfect lather. Pay no attention to the pics of lather you see.

If it works then who cares what the lather looks like? I would rather have great results than have it look pretty and be bleeding and have irritation.
