Ogallala Bay Rum & Sweet Orange Shaving Soap

Hi Guys,

I usually use shaving creams but I bought a puck of Ogallala Bay Rum & Sweet Orange Shaving Soap to try. The smell is incredible, Orange, bay rum and cloves but I am still learning the art of shaving and I haven't yet learned to get a lather of the same quality as I can with the TOBS creams.

I am so impressed with the fragrance though I will persist with it. My question is, does anyone know if an aftershave or balm is available in Orange and Bay Rum?

I have the same soap, and the smell is great but it doesn't stick around on the face for long, does it? I'm thinking you can probably do an internet search for orange essential oils, then add a couple drops to any bay rum AS you prefer. The closest I have come to orange is Captain's Choice Lime, no orange though. You may be on to something! As for lathering this stuff, try this tutorial: http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/199887
Marco says it's for Italian soft soaps(it works great on Proraso)but I find it works well for the hard stuff, too. There are a few variables(brush, hard water, etc.)but it's probably worth a try.

Mama Bear just brought back aftershave balms, and she custom-scents them for just $2 additional charge per bottle. You can choose summer or winter varieties. Try telling her what you want. A while back, I got a fantastic cedar-scented balm for the winter. Works great, smells great!
