Hi Gents: Hope all is well with you & your families. Recently I purchased from B/S/T. . . a Sheaffer No-Nonsense FP & Noodler's Habanero Ink. Anyways... as I was test driving the FP, I was admiring the Habanero color. It is a spicy red color.

Curious like always. . . I untwisted the FP and the entire Habanero ink splashed all over my hands. Thankfullly... it all went on my hands and not the table or furniture. Man. . . it looked like I was covered with blood.

I forgot that the FP was "eyedropped". As a FP newbie. . . I now know the meaning of an "eyedropper". Lesson learned.

Those No-Nonsense are nice, cheap pens. I can leave my eyedroppered pen untouched for over a month,, pick it up, and it writes immediately. All I use is silicone grease on the threads- no leaks, and I store it horizontally. When filling, remember to leave the appropriate gap below the threads. Looking at the feed should give you some idea how much- there is a little bit of shoulder above the feed threads that must be accounted for. Once you overfill it once you will get the hang of it

I did something similar once. I was writing notes on a customer at the office, capped and sat down my Pel M200, it has a twist off cap. The phone rang and I had to jot down a note so I grabbed my pen to open the cap. As I was doing so I thought it was taking too many turns to open so I looked down as I was opening the body of the eye droppered preppy that was sitting on my desk. I only spilled a few drops, but now I look first or reach for the esterbrook dip-less.

I'm planning to get a Kaweco Sport soon and eye-dropper it. When my boss comes to my desk to talk to him he often plays with whatever I have on my desk that seems interesting. I see something similar happening when he sees my new pen!
