NOS Gillette Prison Tech 10 Piece Set

The Gillette Prison Techs with their lock & key handle have been a very interesting collectible item and I've been wanting to add one to my collection. While I didn't mind acquiring other vintage razors, I was hesitant to add a used prison tech to my collection due to the fact that they were used in prisons. I've waited a while to add a "true" NOS prison tech razor set to my collection. Recently, a British made NOS prison tech set came up for auction complete with ten razors and one key, all in the original shipper and wrappers. I ended up winning the auction and received the razor set today.

Here are some pictures of the razors and shipper for B&B brethren:

What appears to be staining/brassing on the razors in this picture is simply the color of the shipper reflecting off of the razors inside:

Razor date code is "G1" dating this set to the first quarter of 1961:

These sets do not pop up in eBay often in such complete and NOS condition so I'm glad to have won this set!

Thank you all for your posts! I'm quite thrilled to add this set to my collection! This would stay as a complete set in my collection and I intend to keep it NOS, i.e., not shave with these razors since I've got a few other Tech's that I can use for shaving.

to the king, very awesome set. i need a key for mine but i dont really want to buy a key that isnt original. being picky has its draw backs, it makes me spend more money lol
