NOS E.A Berg 8/8 full hollow (pics)

This one went today on Swedish eBay.
I've never seen a Swede this big! Not visible in these pics, but there is etching on the tang on both sides with the EA Berg & their trademark, the Shark.

A full 8/8, full ground hollow.

Went for 960 SEK (~$125 US)

Sometimes you just have to put the kids clothes & food before you're own needs. So I didn't get it. But G' DANG! :tongue_sm:tongue_sm:tongue_sm

I saw one like this before. That was a limited production by E. Anton Berg, made in Rademacher Forges, Eskilstuna, Sweden, around 1890's. [Berg died in 1903.] $125 is a steal. The blade is very heavy though.

Interesting information, thanks!

Rademacher was one of the biggest forges or "cluster" of forges in Eskilstuna.
A street in Eskilstuna is named "Rademacher-street"

Yeah, for someone with $125 lying around, it would have been a great buy, even if it would have gone up further.
Must be a very special feel to shave with a blade like this.
