Noob question: What is Butterscotch and how do I get one?

Gentlemen,
After reading about 6 threads on Butterscotch brush handles I am jonesing bad.

First question: What is a butterscotch handle? Is it linen micarta? If so I want one bad. As a knife guy, I love micarta handles/scales and transfering this to shaving would be very rewarding.

Next question. Is there any way to get one other than flebay?

butterscotch handles are vintage ones, im not exactly sure what theyre made of - but its definately not micarta. Its some kind of early plastic.

To get one its either ebay or the BST

Cool. They look like the handles of the old Schrade pocket knives that my granddaddy gave me out of his collection. By the way, you can get reproductions of these at every Mountain state small town hardware store that I've ever been to. I grew up in New Mexico as the son of a cow puncher for reference. Definitely not city folk.

I think a micarta handle would be feasible. I have seen micarta duck calls so micarta rod of sufficient diameter is available for turning.

I have never seen a micarta brush, but Cooncatbob offers micarta handles for razors and he offers brushes in all sorts of materials...so he would likely be a good fellow to ask about a micarta brush.

I like the Butterscotch handles too...I wonder if they are celluloid or some other early resin.
