Newport antique store find

I went up to Newport R.I. For the weekend and found this in an antique store for $20. Not to bad, I plan on just hitting it on the polishing wheel for a little and honing it up. It's a Joseph smith and sons celebrated razor 3415. It also has etching on the blade.

Haha, yeah it was the one on Thames st. There were a few other razors I left there for you guys. How is that shave soap from the "shore soap co" ?

I figured as much. I've pullled about 20 out of that place over the years. It's hit or miss as for price and quality, but I always take a quick pass through when I'm there (usually weekly in the summer as I'm very close).

I think I did a decent job sharpening it on the norton 4/8k. It shaved nice n smooth, I definitely like old wedge smile blades.
