new year's shave was a day of "firsts"

First shave of the new year!

First shave with an open comb razor (Gillette old-type...~1928). Man it was awesome! I've been shaving with different 40s style SSs lately...this was so different. Felt like I had more control or something. Like the lower profile head. First pass was one of my best ever. Liked the feel of the comb. Can't wait for more!

First shave this razor had ever seen. Bought this razor still sealed in the original packaging and used it for the first time yesterday. Kinda cool to know this razor is exactly how it came off the assembly line.

First shave with Trumpers Limes shaving cream and Skin Food. Loved the cream. Lathered like crazy, smell was nice. Liked the Skin Food better as an aftershave than a preshave.

Overall a great shave!

Cool. Could you describe how the Skin Food performed as a pre-shave? They market it for both pre and post, and once my CF Pre-Shave runs out, I will need another.
