I am interested but not pulling any triggers just yet. These are not, to my knowledge, limited editions, but they look to be inspired by limited editions, of which I have several and can attest to their quality.

Please let us know how the new bigger knot works. It says it is the "selected premium" grade hair. Is it the same hair as SOCs?

I think it is the same hair.

As far as bigger knot, I have the larger Stirling/Zenith boar, and I love it!!!
This Semogue is smaller than that one, so I'm sure it's not going to be too big.

Clicking the Synthetic link above, the 1st thing I read was "Alchemy1 Fiber is a brand new proprietary fiber from Semogue that offers excellent backbone". That sentance alone killed it for me as no synthetic brush should have "excellent backbone"!!

As a lover of tortoise shell, I think these look gorgeous. That gold really sets it off.
I’m getting one, just not sure which version to buy. I’m leaning towards boar, and if I like the handle I might get the badger or Mistura down the road as well.

I received my Pegasus synthetic yesterday and tried it out today. I really like it. Comparing it to the SOC Sylver synthetic this Alchemy 1 fiber does have a little more backbone but not too much and since it is taller/bigger it splays as well or better. The Pegasus doesn't feel quite as soft as the Sylver but iirc it took a couple uses for it to get broken in and got softer. So I assume this new one will soften up more after a couple uses and gets broken in. It is very nice, works well and looks great. I took a pic of the SOC Sylver beside the Pegasus Alchemy 1 for comparison. I like the handle shape better on the Pegasus, it fits my big hands better.
