New pre shave lube

So I purchased a vector (atra) today and I thought why not use the lube strip as a pre shave oil/lube. What I do :
Before face lathering I'll just run the razor lube strip first so the blades don't cut and the goo gets applied on my face. Then I lather and shave.
It's pretty convenient.
It's like honing on the jeans method just on your face and wet.
