What's new

New Job BBS shave...

First day at my new job today. Got up early so I could take my time and shave with the intention of a DFS or less....basically I want ZERO irritation. I grab a new Voskhod blade (these blades have been hit or miss for me lately but were handy at the time) and Arko and get to business. Do my normal passes doing nothing fancy not spending extra time on the trouble spots...basically zip it off and move on not expecting anything good just wanting no irritation and only shooting for "looks good". As I sit here writing this I'm feeling my face and I cant feel a whisker anywhere! NO razor burn, no knicks no nothing.

Interesting how when you try for a BBS you hurt yourself and when you just want a decent shave sometimes it works out to a BBS. No joke, this might be the finest shave I've had yet.

Just when I think I'll be about as good as I'll get minus new equipment something like this sneaks in and I want to duplicate it soon

Splashed some Aqua Velva on and zero burn as well. *Pats self on back*

Now if only I can be as stellar at work today....

First day at work went well. TONS of information all day long so hopefully tomorrow will be more practical application.

I have found that some of my best shaves have come on days (and this is most days) when I don't try too hard. I learned long ago that once you learn good techniques and have products that you are confident perform well for you, your shaving experience not only improves but becomes more enjoyable. I am not saying I am lackadaisical about my routine, I am saying that I am relaxed and confident that a great shave is at hand...and more often than not, it is, and that is very enjoyable.

Regards,

Doug
