What's new

New But Learning Fast

Friday I opened a Derby to give it a try..I thought it was a little rough...Saturday I felt the burn...Sunday I did it again
Face was really burned. I want to be fair , so I stuck it out for one last try today. Half way thru...F*%##@!#@!!:w00t:
Conclusion : I can not use DERBY.

Ah! but a hurried conclusion. Don't throw the tuck or lot away yet, acquire more razors and you will find an amenable match. I'd suggest a Superspeed.

I have yet to encounter a blade that I cannot use with one exception from my earlier discovery stage, a bad forgery of Shark Super titled "Super Shave" (they had the likeness of a shark on the pack, fooled me once)

I don't know what a superspeed is. I use a Feather All Stainless. I tried a Parker and it cut me to pieces .

Many is the shaver who once felt he couldn't get a good shave with so-n-so razor or blade, only to find out over time that it was his technique (pre- and post-shave included) that was at fault all along.

I was this exact way with Derby blades when I started. Couldn't get a good shave with Derby, always got a good shave with Astra SP. Blamed it on the Derby blades at first. A few months later, with much improvement under my belt, I tried the Derby blades again and magically found them to work just fine for me. Nothing changed but my technique.

Sometimes it's the Indian, not the arrow.
