Need some help.

Hello everyone. Just returned home from Paris and London. While in Paris, I stopped at Planet Raisor to pickup some MdC. They were out of the large scented soap but did pick up a travel size. What I also picked up was a can of Lait Frais D'Anesse Bio which is artisanal shaving soap with 25% organic donkey milk. It smells great and the people at Planet Raisor said it was as good if not better than MdC. I'm about to find out. It is made by La Savonniere Du Moulin. Has anyone had any experience with this type of shaving soap? Did I waste my money buying this? Any response is appreciated.

My sister was recently at Planets Razoir and grabbed me some of this soap. It's really good - nice lather, great shave. The scent is a little unusual, but its growing on me.

I bought the very same soap from planete rasoir. For me, it is incredible stuff and does outperform even the legendary MDC. I prefer the scent of MDC though.

Update on an old thread, I went to Planete Rasoir today and picked up the same soap. They said it was better than MdC but.... It seems smoother than MdC, but seems to get sticky when it dries and dries easier than MdC. But that's based on one shave today, and maybe I just overloaded the brush (Simpson's Major travel brush) but I think not based on the soap washing off the blade so easily. Still, a very nice soap. It's anise scented which I usually don't favor, but the scent is mild and it's quite pleasant, even to one that doesn't prefer anise.

Planete Rasoir overall was a disappointment for a straight shaver, one case of overprice TIs though some were very nice, out of almost all MdC shaving soap except for 50g fougere, one jar of unscented, and one glass "brain bowl" of scented. They did have a good selection of the bar soap.

What does it say there after glycerin? Sodium what?

Highly doubt this will perform anywhere near MdC. My guess is their being almost out of MdC and recommending this soap are related.
