I am in need of an inexpensive but pretty good shaving brush for my husband's birthday on Thursday. Any recommendations for a brush ($30-$50) and site that can get it to me by then?

Thanks!

Go to Simpsons brushes and go for the Wee Scot. Best brush for the money with a ton of character to boot.

When I ordered from them last Monday afternoon, I had my brush by Thursday morning.

You can look at eBay and request the seller ship it overnight. They are very flexible with the shipping. Just remember that you will hav to pay a little extra for the brush, but for something like an Edwin Jagger it is worth it.

Also a lot of the vendors her on B&B can work with you on the shipping.

phil at bullgoose shaving is known for turning orders quickly and his prices are excellent. you might consider a vulfix like this one:

if you're on the west coast, westcoastshaving.com has a nice variety of brushes, like this cool omega

finally, charles at QED makes a very fine brush, the saville row, in your price range. i can't speak to his speed...but his brushes are reputed to be an outstanding value

Go to The Superior Shave - Vulfix 375 or 2234 - $54 delivered, with excellent shipping, let them know you need it for a gift by a certain time. This is a little more than you wanted to spend but well worth the money.

I was looking in your price range for my first brush, and ended up spending a little extra at Vintage Blades for a Rooney 1/1 in Silvertip. You can't beat $75 for a silvertip brush! I love it.
