Hello gents...first time visiting the brush forum so excuse me if I'm in the wrong forum. Also apologize if I'm being lazy or annoying...
I have always had a hard time imagining spending more than $80 for a brush. I have about 12 or so but I find I only use about 3. The lone exception is a Rakowski Silvertip with Pink Ivory/Ebony handle, which was a bit dear. It's gorgeous but a bit large.
I'm looking for a general consensus on what is the best brush for face-lathering both soaps and creams, if such an animal exists. Currently I use a small Rakowski horn silvertip, and Shavemac 25 mostly, both in Silvertip and both 21mm I believe. I like the smaller brushes and the highest I would go would be 23mm, I think.
Is the Chubby 1 in 2-band super a good candidate? Is the hair comparable to the Silvertip in other brands? Or is there perhaps a Shavemac with comparable performance and a lower price? Or something else entirely?
