Need a Rooney 1/1 Push

I recently started using my Rooney 3/1 Super again after a year. While it makes a nice change from my Simpsons, its 48mm loft makes it feel a bit moppy as it splays too much on the face for my liking. I’m tempted to get a Rooney 1/1 Super which has the same size knot with a 44 or 45mm loft. Anyone have a recent 1/1 that cares to comment on pros vs cons? Any preference on those from vintageblades vs T&H? I'm leaning toward vintageblades where I got my last one.

I had a Rooney 1/2 a while back and strangely enough, it seemed a little "moppy" to me as well. I guess that the problem was that I was using a B&B Eagle and a Duke2 alongside the Rooney. After considering trading it for a 1/1, a friend said that he was interested in starting to wet-shave, so he ended up with a Rooney brush in his starter kit.
What I guess that I'm trying to say is that....... why the heck not? I have never tried one, but they seem like a good idea.

I have an older 1/2 and a chubby 1 in super. The rooney is far and away my favorite as it holds so much more water, it is very hard to make a dry lather with the Rooney. My conclusion is perhaps I am just preferential to the slightly larger brush. But for me the Rooney is the best brush I've owned and my go to. The ch 1 super is a great brush but was expensive and I just wish it held more water. It has great back bone. I'm still giving it more opportunity but so far it is Rooney for me. Especially for the price.

I have the 1/2 and 3/2 and prefer the former. It's the perfect all around brush, good for both creams and soaps, soft, but more backbone than the 3/2. I imagine you would enjoy the 1/1 immensely. Go for it! (I got both at vintageblades)
