You can do smiling razors on a full size hone .

I know and do that currently. I just think it is easier on a narrow hone.

Actually Joe, you can use the Shapton pro on edge too. I forgot I have done this before. You just gotta be careful it doesn't tip over while you are doing this.
How much is Tom charging for the cut Chosera? maybe I could buy the other half.

I think Tom actually has some that are cut to 1x6" - I haven't asked about cutting a full size chosera, but when I get settled in my new place I'll look it up.
