What's new

My tried and true Fat Boy is on permanant hiatus...

Until recently my 30 or so years of shaving has been with just two razors: A slim my dad gave me as a teenager, and a garage sale Fat Boy I picked up in the 90's (with a Brit New as my travel razor). I have picked up a few other razors over the years...given them a novelty shave and tossed them in a box. I never thought I would ever enjoy a razor more than the Fat Boy....Until I picked up this on the BST from a very fine member. By far the most comfortable shave I have ever had! I guess the weight, blade gap, etc... just matches my technique perfectly. Even with my newly acquired RAD, I truly believe this will be my daily goto razor until I am 6 feet under! I realize one can't find these on every corner shop, but if you have the opportunity I HIGHLY recommend giving one a try!!!

I agree with your opinion of that excellent B&B member and distributor of wonderful vintage razors. Poonjaji is a great resource and it's wonderful that he helped you with your discovery of the British classics. When you can try the Aristocrat Jr. Also the #15 open comb and the classy #58. these and others will really provide you with the best shaves!

Poonjaji is such a kind and generous man! I cannot say enough good things about this gent!

And I do have a #15...also by way of the BST :) I am turning into a Brit Aristocrat nut!! As $$ and opportunity present itself, I would like to have one of each Aristocrat!!
