My small collection

I'm really starting to enjoy frags. I have all the shaving stuff I need for a long time so I have started to use my spare cash(the little there is) on scents and clothing instead. Here is my small collection:



I like all of these, but my favorites is The English Laundry- Arrogant and the L'Occitan.

Nice start to your fragrance collection. I really like L'Occitan Pour Homme. It is a very nice lavander with a peppery touch that gives it some staying power. If you have never tried a vetiver scent, you might want to check out Royall Vetiver. It is a nice scent with a citrus top-note that is a nice, inexpensive intro into the vetiver scents.

I'd go for the Carven Vetiver.
You can probably get hold of another cheap but reasonable vetiver called Malazia Uomo - just don't wear it in Italy where it's the equivalent to Brut and worn by millions.

The only vetiver I've ever tried was Royal Vetiver. I thought it was awful. Smells like dirt at first, then mellows into something tolerable, but not enjoyable. Maybe I don't like vetiver. Garry's sample shop has it if you want to try it.

I like Drakkar Noir and Burberry London. As far as vetivers, my favourite is Guerlain's version. Frederic Malle's Vetiver Extraordinaire is also very good, but pricey.

Drakkar is the scent of choice for SWMBO. No idea why, but it gets very positive results. Nothing else compares.

Looking good! Or perhaps I should say, smelling good! And Carven Vetiver is a good introduction to vetiver, as it's a pretty straight forward, clean vetiver scent.

Someone on here was kind enough to sell me almost full battles of both the L'occtane Vetiver and Guerlain Vetiver so I will take him up on that when the next paycheck comes in.

Sample! Guerlain is popular - but not with my nose. It's not wretched, but I won't wear it again. Sycomore is popular, but the top note is an assault on my sinuses for the first 30 minutes.

I like Tom Ford Grey quite a bit, but that's expensive. I also like L'Occtane quite a bit.

I usually just blind buy stuff. With the shipping charges I feel it's easier. Sure I can sell it on here in Norway if I don't enjoy it.

L'Occitane Vetyver and Guerlain Vetiver are very different from each other. Give them both a few wearings before you make a final decision about either one. Don't expect them to smell like each other, or any other vetiver scent for that matter. There are a lot of folks who like each, and some who don't. Whether you decide you like them or not, I hope you enjoy the experience of trying them. They are both very distinct scents that someone interested in scents, especially vetiver scents, should try.
