My Semogue 1305 has arrived from Leon!

My Semogue 1305 has arrived.
I bought it from Vintagescent.

I think it is a true beauty:

I used it a couple of times already and I think it is a great performer.
Hard to beat at this price, at least.

I like it's just right stiffness while remaining comfortably soft, a good density - and last but not least the looks.

I do love the look of that brush. I've been following the discussions regarding Semogue and the get wonderful reviews. I just ordered a Boreal 976 to try as my first boar. If I like the boar, this Semogue is probably next on the list. Let us know how you like it.

Agreed. I could just give my current omega to my girlfriend, since she already gladly accepted my KMF Lavender cream.

That brush looks great and I've heard great things about it!!

Just don't drop the brush on a hard surface... the paint chips easily. Other than that, it's a sweet brush.

It's a good brush. I've learned how to use it (thanks to Matt ), and it works nicely. It isn't my favorite, but it is good.

That new one Leon has just starting selling, the 1520, looks pretty nice too. I may just have to get one...

This brush is a real good one. I can only compare with a Muhle custom silvertip and a Vero boar, so I would not consider myself a true expert.

I bought this brush for its stunning looks and the very fair price after reading a lot of raving reviews at this great forum. In fact, it is so affordable that you might even wonder how it is possible. Leon did a great job in sending and packing this brush at a couple of euro's so all in all the buying experience at Vintage scent was great. Highly recommended.

First impressions: even better than expected. The brush is even more beautiful than on the pictures. The size to me is just right, and the shape of the handle is very comfortable and effective. And yes, I did drop this on the stone floor of my shower - and it did not break. Although I would not recommend this as a standard opering procedure in breaking in your new Semogue

First time lathering was easy, no 'getting used to this brush' here as I had with the barber's Vero. As easy as the Muhle. I gave it a good soaking and it cleaned perfectly after the first use with soap. The brush holds water very good. It has rather firm hair, but the tips are pretty soft so lathering is easy and comfortable. Used Mama Bear's for the first shaves to get this brush started and this morning it even cracked the code of my Kent MWF - finally the results the MWF lovers here expected and I had only been waiting for. Three passes easily and a lot of lather still left, that is impressive. Lathering on the face is nice. It is a firm, nicely stiff knot of hairs that provide a nice backbone for some comfortable tips. As the brush is not too big, it is an easy handler.

Some gentlemen here have observed the 1305 is not a very ruggedized brush. So, we shall see how it will endure the harsh environment of my shaving den.

All in all, this brush made quite an entrance in my little collection. Its vintage looks, with the metal ring is just great and the shape of the handle is OK even in wet conditions. The brush was easy to work with with Mama Bear and after a coupe of days even with Kent MWF also. What more can one want?
