What's new

My first str8 case/cigar box conversion.

This is box 4568 out 5000 of the Partagas Serie D #4 Reservas. After $5 trip to Michael's (craft store) for 1/4 craft foam, (2) 8 1/2x11 sheets of felt and (2) 1/4 x 1 inch wood strips this was the result.

Thank you Gentlemen! The cool thing about it is that there was very little glue involved in the whole process. I cut the foam and wood to as close a tolerance as possible and only used glue adhere the felt on to the wood dividers. Again, thank you for your comments.

I've been using a cigar box for mine too but your's makes mine look embarrassingly ugly! So, you won't be seeing any pictures of it - until I do a little work maybe!! You've got me inspired!

Initially I was going to use a Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios box but it was too thin (cigars come in one row of ten) and the San Cristobal de La Habana Murallas box is too wide. The Reservas box is the perfect size for a 7 day set.

And exactly how much did that box of cigars cost? Lol - please don't answer that. That is a great piece of work Baya - very cool

I LIKE it. Nice job on the straights box. You might want to think about a few of those desicant packs to absorb any humidity. Spanish cedar is somewhat hydroscopic (it absorbs and releases moisture).
