My First Floid Blue Application

After debating whether or not to spend big $$ on shiping to get some Floid Blue, I bit the bullet and ordered the Blue and Vigoroso. As a University of Florida alumni and fan, I found it futher desirable since I could add the orange atomizer, reflecting my school colors of orange and blue.

This morning I had a nice shave with my slim adjustable and MWF soap (using my new 830 brush for the first time). I then commenced to hose my face down with the Floid Blue. I was a little unsure how many pumps I would use, I think I gave it 7 or 8 pumps around my face, massaged it into my skin, and then topped it off with a few pumps without rubbing it in.

The immediate affect was a very pleasing cool sensation. As I type this an hour later, the Blue has left my face without a greasy feel, which I really like, and as my skin is a little oily, it seems to have a decent astringent affect. On the downside, I was hoping the fragrance would be a bit bolder and last longer. An hour in, it has a very faint fragrance that I think will disapate shortly. Too bad they don't make a cologne of similar fragrance to compliment the after shave.

Tomorrow I will try the Vigoroso.

The Blue is gonna get ya!

I love Floid Blue, and I find the scent stays on me longer than any other aftershave besides the Pinaud clan. It's lingering but it's there at the end of the day, on me at least.

I'd really like to try the Blue... Pretty hard to find, though...

Phil at Bullgoose just started carrying it. I went to buy it at IB, sold out, and then got it at Gifts and Care. This was a couple weeks ago. Now Phil has it which is good since I'm using it a lot and can see a reorder in my future.

I thought it was a lot of hype all the love for the blue, but it is officially the only menthol splash I like. Great balance of cooling, soothing and scent. Really a terrific product. Haven't used the Clubman once since I got it and that's saying something.

Floid Blue is my all-time favorite AS. It's got that old-time barber-shop fragrance with the Floid twist that I really enjoy. The fact that you get to mix the appropriate colors on the atomizer to represent the most successful, admired, and feared college sports program in the entire known universe, is a bonus.
Enjoy.

Hey Cigator I also have an orange atomizer on my Floid Blue. No particular reason. Just thought it would be a funky and interesting look. Nothing better than grabbing that big bottle and spritzing a bit on my face after I shave. Blue is absolutely my favorite.

I just revisited Floid Blue after year of owning and never using it. I cant say I love the initial application as much as amber or spanish, but the dry down is nice.

I purchased floid blue from in a while back and really enjoyed the scent. When I got out of the bathroom I was told to wash that crap off. Since then its been sitting on the shelf.

According to Joe at Italian Barber, it sounds like the recent stock of Floid Blue which has made it to the market may only be a temporary "special" production run? Might be time for me to place my order today before this one goes extinct!
