Okay, been using a DE and wet shaving for about three weeks now. Finally had the courage to shave against the grain on my neck today with awesome results. BBS everywhere, no irritation or weepers anywhere. I've been getting some real DFS lately, but it was the Red Pack blades, I think, that gave me the edge I needed to really get a GREAT shave.
Thanks, Darjeeling Express! (They were freebies from him with a Tech I bought)
The ATG pass on my neck was the first time I had tried that in many years. The multi-cartridge razors were just too aggressive for my neck with an ATG pass.
Today I used a 40s Super Speed with a Red Pack Personna and Proraso and a pure badger brush from C&E. Topped it off with some witch hazel, Nivea, and Pinaud Clubman.
I think it officially qualifies as the mythical Best Shave of My Life.
