This stone has just passed a test by 2 Labs................

test inconclusive, so to the hone I go.

This took a bit to lap, glad I had the DMT's
used 220 till flat then 325 to 600 and finished on 1200 mesh.
Do you need to go finer than that?

not the best photo but here she is after lapping.

Make sure you lap the Tomo, then rub the tomo on the base stone. Mine is almost like a mirror.
Thanks Doc. Just lapped the Tomo down to the 1200mesh then rubbed on the base stone under running water for about 5 minutes.
It seams a bit smoother already.

Can see a mirror reflection when wet.

sorry guys forgot to include the Lab test. I know we need proof or it did not happen

so here is the test as done by the labs with the result clear to see.

test confirms that there is mojo in the stone.

these 2 must check everything that comes in the house.
The dog on the left is Max and on the right is Nova. They are 1/2 brother and sister, they both have the same farther

wind is high here in Wellington and my power went out. so off my bum and on the hone I went.
first razor to hit the JNAT is the 15/16 Bengall. went 4/8k Norton till poping hairs on my arm, then onto the 12K Naniwa.
then JNAT light slurry raised and started to hone, diluting as it broke down till very thin. washed stone and used with just water.
shave test will have to wait as I am cleanshaved already LOL

good to hear you like yours Gary.
I have honed two razors today with it and will shave test them tomorrow. So far I am liking this stone.

Nice stone Chris. I am waiting for my first natural stone (La Verte coticule) after using films since I started.

Best of luck with the stone and beautiful dogs. Love Labs.

Did they get the garnet count?
I think my lab test is reliable as the last ultimate coticle report posted here at B&B:lol::lol::lol::lol:.

The Labs are more use to testing old bones and the like. That said they gave a estimate of garnet count as high.
They believe it could in fact be a ultimate JNAT but demand more rewards before confirming.........
I refuse to pay any more for this report, so guess we will never know..........

Just shaved with my two razors finished on the JNAT.

good to hear your results using the same stone are nice from the start as well.
agree a bit of hone milage can only improve the edge more, looking forward to get to know this hone better.
must add I think the fact it is a 4,5 not a hard 5+ has helped get the good results for me as a natural stone novice.............
and all the good gents advise here at B&B, can not put a price on that.
