MWF Fans - How do you travel?

About a month ago, I decided to try some of this tallowy goodness I've heard so much about. I've been using AoS and MWF, favoring MWF, but overall, I am a fan! My travel solution to date involves a stick of Harris Arlington which, IMO, is okay, but doesn't compare to MWF.

So, my question to the MWF fans out there is, since MWF doesn't make a stick, how do you travel? Do you take your MWF puck with you? Is there a stick that gives you similar pleasure?

Thanks.

I went on a business trip last week but left the MWF behind.. However, I did have several tallow sticks I took along - Erasmic, Palmolive & Tabac - along with my bowl of Cella. All provide superior shaves so I was able to feed my tallow addiction while away.

I bet you can grate it and make a stick

Yep, that's what I did. Shave stick containers cost a dollar and change from mama bears:

Good job with that--you have some great options now. I have a stick of Irisch Moos and one of Tabac that I alternate between when I travel. Once those are gone, maybe I'll give this a shot.

You see problem solved, well let see if SWMBO lets you use the grater for your soap.

I use a cheese grater for my grating, but the gentleman Bulldawg is the one who created the fine shaving sticks.

Bulldawg some insight for the gentlemen please on your fantastic shave sticks?

- Just order the shave sticks from here

and

- Follow the instructions here

Instead of pushing it down into a bowl you're pushing it into a shave stick. Use enough pressure to pack it in tight at varying stages...say every 1/4 inch make sure it's pressed down tight. Also, you will likely only need a 1/2 puck of soap for this. Use the other 1/2 at home if you like. It's very easy. good luck

I love my daily fix of MWF, I just ordered another refill today and another dish
and soap as a present.

For travelling I use the Proraso white soap (green tea & aloe) as I find the
white plastic container and lid easy to pack. I also throw in a tube of Musgo
for some lanolin superlather when away.

Luckily I've very soft water at home so MWF lathers easily, not always the
case when I'm overseas.

I find that I can lather up MWF (or any soap) just fine WITHOUT a brush ... for travel, just slip your puck into a plastic soap dish or a plastic baggie, and take it along in your bag.

When you go to shave, just prep your face as normal, and rub some soap on to your wet beard, and rub it up with the palm of your hand. Let it sit for a minute or so to soften the whiskers, add a little more water if needed, then put the blade to work.

Just leave it on the counter between shaves so it can dry out.

I adore MWF, but when I travel I prefer something a little lighter and less bulky, so I bring a tube of cream with me, any decent cream will do of course.

When I travel, I bring creams. Smaller travel brush works better with them. Musgo Real, La Toja and Pollen Lider get me through at least two weeks.
